I am just going to say it

the girl....

I hope that through her teen years she stays level headed, she respects everyone. No, not like everyone, nobody likes everyone. I hope she stays focused and works hard first and plays harder second. I try so hard to teach my kids that their opinions are valid yet don’t always need to be heard. I try to teach them there is a time and place to be silly yet always respectful.

I hope that my boys open the door for all girls. I hope they don’t let sports be their excuse for a bad grade. I hope they stand up for their sister and protect her. I hope they figure out early what they want in life and work hard to achieve it. I hope they don’t let peer pressure get the best of them. I hope that if they fail it only makes them fight harder.

love you

I hope that they grow up happy, healthy and true to themselves. I hope they do the right thing even when it’s the hardest thing they think they will ever have to do. I want them to look at all sides of the situation before forming an opinion and judging. I want them to want to be home for dinner. I want them to come to me when they have their first kiss. I want them to know they can talk to us about anything and we will remain level headed and open minded. I hope the lines of communication stay open, both ways.
I hope, wish, pray that I don’t fail them……..
