Naked cupcake!!!

Still getting ready for a great night that is hopefully followed by a great year for everyone.

Happy New Year to everyone!!!

I Spy….Christmas Style

a croc, silly putty, monopoly, a turbo tank, candy cane, little guys, ten toes, a stocking, three unwrapped gifts, sleepy boy, xbox controller, pair of vans, photo of sleepy boy, love note from sleepy boy, legos , paper airplane kit, a daddy, three sons, a christmas tree, and a harry potter booklet.

I SPY A TYPICAL CHRISTMAS AFTERNOON

Trashy?

This mama says WHAT?

The dress code at the middle school used to be one I 100% wholeheartedly agreed with. But a few weeks before Christmas break they announced that you were NOT allowed to have holes in your jeans. No holes or rips of any kind or anywhere. SAY WHY? because it makes the girls look trashy? FOR REALS? I am so disappointed in this change. If you have taken any middle school aged child clothes shopping you know how hard it is to find cool/cute jeans without some sort of hole or rip in them. It’s the style. I want to protest this because they changed the dress code almost half way into the year, can they do that? After I and many other parents had bought school clothes that happen to have holes or rips in them. Then I think it’s not worth the trouble because JJ in on her last year there and by the time G gets there it won’t matter. G isn’t the hole in jeans type of kid.
BUT I am still ticked that the vice principle said that it’s because they don’t want the girls to look trashy. My daughter doesn’t look trashy and really that is all a matter of opinion. I don’t like rules based on opinion. Not a fan. I am still debating to send an email asking for my $50 so I can replace JJ’s jeans that she can no longer wear to school. We checked the dress code before buying said jeans and there was NOTHING in the dress code about holes in jeans. We heard that the holes couldn’t be above thumb length, I was all for that. That was a great compromise but now no holes or rips….I am not okay with that. I personally think it’s a stupid rule made up by some old lady that is bitter she is old and has to be around all these cute young girls all day.

Coffee, Apple Pie and Ice Cream…

Three things keeping me from finding my motivation. The weather isn’t helping either. It’s cold and cloudy. Enough already. I live in the state where the sun is supposed to shine all year round….it’s slacking off. Our tree is still up and when I look at it it makes me grumpy. The cold and the clouds make me want to sit and drink coffee with apple pie and ice cream. I feel my Christmas wasn’t complete, I did watch Elf enough times BUT I didn’t listen to Kenny’s Christmas CD once. Not a single time!! I am sad, I can’t find it. For some crazy stupid reason it’s not in my itunes library….someone needs to pay for that.
Gary has a new Christmas CD and somehow I didn’t buy it, someone needs to pay for that too. What is the Christmas season without good Christmas music? not complete that’s what.

Mr. Fun picked up the camera again….that made up for the lack of good Christmas music…

These kids also made up for the lack of good Christmas music

Do you think I could have said good christmas music one more time?

2009 is about over….

In 2010….
My youngest will enter Kindergarten and my oldest will enter high school.
Pretty sure I am not equipped to handle that.
The more I think about it the more I wish 2009 would stick around a little longer.

Christmas 2009

The boys went to bed at 7:30 PM…no arguing…Mr. Fun read Harry Potter for his usual 45 minutes.
JJ went to bed around 9…..right before that Wy was up in the hallway. I sent him back to bed.
Around 10 PM my mom showed up. About 10:30 G was up..sneaking around in the hallway..who knows what he saw. At 11:42 all three boys were awake in their bedroom. I was freaking out…thinking that they were going to catch Santa, we all know you can’t catch Santa but what if? Mr. Fun went in and told them Santa was in Chicago and they had to get to bed. We shut the TV off and dimmed the lights.
By 12:30 we were all asleep.
6:30 AM all four kids were standing at the foot our bed! I claimed it was too early and to go back to bed. JJ exclaimed that she had been up since 3:30 AM and couldn’t sleep. Just then Wy flipped on the bright ass light above our bed. NO WARNING….just bright ass light shining in my dark, sleepy eyes.
Mr. Fun and I yelled out “AAAWWWW Wy Insert real name!! He knew what he was doing because that got me out of bed to start my coffee. After that we made sure the grandparents were awake and we let them loose. This was the first year I didn’t demand order when opening presents. I let them open what they wanted when they wanted! I left my camera on my desk and soaked it all in. The excitement, the smiles, the laughter…soaked it all up!!

This Nerf Gun is so much fun..really didn’t want him to have it, now I want one for every family member so it’s a fair advantage.

This bouncy ball was bought for selfish reasons. I didn’t think it would be the hit that it was. I bought it so I could play ball in the face. T has claimed that it’s his bouncy and there will not be any ball in the face play.

MERRY CHRISTMAS

Merry Christmas from the Fun Family!!

We hope you have a wonderful day filled with love and joy!!!
The kids BOYS are dying to open their one gift this evening. JJ stayed up too late at a friends house last night and is ready for bed already.
I managed to get all my shopping done before 4 PM on Christmas Eve. Mr. Fun was actually home before 2:30PM today….My mommy is on her way and all is well :)
I am so excited that Santa is coming!! I hope I can sleep tonight!!!

We caved and opened the traditional Christmas Eve present a little early!!

Things I learned…

Whipped frosting is not sticky enough to hold candy ornaments on ice cream cone trees…
Must add oil to chocolate when melting to dip candy canes in…
If there isn’t a shaker on the sprinkles, I’m not buying them…
Messy things can also be super fun..
My kids don’t need to eat dinner every night if I let them eat enough sugar…(no need to call CPS, tonight is a one time thing)
I enjoy doing crafty/creative things with my children, immensely!!!
We don’t need to watch the Elf every day until Christmas…skipping today was alright…
instead of ornaments we have presents :)

The kids are okay with that because it all taste the same…
I will never buy mint M&M’s again…I ate half a bag today…

My kids have the sugar sillies tonight, I am embracing it…
I love Christmas tree light bokeh…

The Fun is about to begin…..

We are all so excited~~~

and this doesn’t include the cookies and the cupcakes..really? My kids have gotten the best of me once again. I love it!!!!!! Christmas is 3 days away… THREE!!!! It came so quickly this year. It seems every year goes by quicker.

~T~shirt head!!

Get it?

He is so funny. The other night we were eating dinner and T started singing the song “who let the dogs out?” Then instead of singing it right he says “who let the noses out? aCHOO aCHOO”.
Talk about choking on my food!!!
