Baby Feet! {Phoenix Photographer}

For Ava {Phoenix Photographer}

Ava’s story really pulls at my heart. It really hits close to home since we live in a climate that is not forgiving when it comes to the heat. It can reach 110 any given day 3-4 months out of the year. So when I heard about Ava….I cried. I cried hard. I thought how quickly life can turn around and leave you upside down.
Every year that has passed I have wanted to do something. Something to remember Ava (though I never met her) and to bring awareness to the danger of hot cars. This year we had a tea party for Ava.

We explained to the children why we were doing what we were doing and we hoped that they would also learn from Ava’s story. My younger boys questioned to why we were having a party and I explained that we were celebrating her. So we drew her pictures…..pictures we thought she would love.

and we ate cupcakes

We let pink balloons float up to the sky and we watched.

Happy Friday {Phoenix Photographer}

This is a little extra for Grandma Lisa! Just because I want to make her smile. This is Megan, she seems to have found her smile and is such a happy easy going baby.

Isn’t she lovely?

Oh what the heck, a couple more because I love babies.

Birthday Parties!!!! {Phoenix Photographer}

I love working a birthday party. So much joy and happiness. What I love the most is Mom isn’t stressing out whether or not she got the shot. She gets to sit back and enjoy the day knowing these memories will be caught on film.

Whats a party without ski-ball and noisemakers

and of course cake :)

There are also the special moments….the connections of families….

I will admit that there is a time during each party that I adore …… when everyone is busy with the older kids, changing out of swimsuits or fixing food and I get to help out by holding the baby. There is always a baby, LUCKY me!!!

I am convinced {Phoenix Photographer}

If we were to have a 5th child this is what she would look like.

I had the pleasure of hanging out with them not one afternoon but two. How lucky am I? So lucky…

M really liked my hearts, she wanted to pry them off my shoes.

And she wasn’t sure about my camera…..

It’s an adventure {Poway Photographer}

I rarely ask my subjects to trespass, only if it could be a super cool shot. I thought this front porch would make for a cute scene. We were wrapping up the photo session after a walk to the park and I told the girls to go sit…….they were sitting for about 10 seconds when a dog started barking….oh it was funny. I was happy to continue shooting as the dog barked, they were not. So we went on our way. Staying on the sidewalks.

the headless jumpers…..

I am glad that I get to document these girls. I Know they will treasure these photos forever.

This makes me think I need to offer a friends special, email me at mdawsonphoto@gmail.com if you would be interested. Friends are treasures and should be celebrated in print.

Meet R… {Phoenix Photographer}

I had so much fun with this little guy. He was busy and made me work but it was so worth it.

It was hard choosing which photos I wanted to share because their were so many cute ones. A lot of serious faces, he wasn’t so sure who I was and why I kept getting in his way.

His mom, Alison, was great…she worked just as hard as I did and because of that we got some great expressions.

Thank you for letting me capture R at such a fun and busy time in his life. I really enjoyed myself.

Now I am off to finish packing and head to San Diego to get two of my sons. I will be back on Tuesday to answer emails but busy getting 4 children ready for another school year.

We are excited {Phoenix Photographer}

Things are moving along with only few minor bumps…..
It’s back to school and soon it will be time to start thinking about holiday photos and gifts.
Stay tuned for some exciting specials and changes.

Pardon the dust…. {Phoenix Photographer}

I am in the middle of redoing this blog and my website!! Changing logo colors and possibly the name of the business..
So stay tuned :) I also have to take time to play in the water but hopefully the construction won’t take too long.
Some of you go back to school Monday, summer is at an end. Too bad the extreme heat will be around for another month.
